Markets steady as regulatory clarity edges forward. BTC $80,558 (+0.9%), ETH $2,368 (+0.02%), SOL $84.48 (-0.8%).

1. CLARITY Act Stablecoin Deal: Banks Silent, Crypto Celebrates

Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD) unveiled new CLARITY Act language Friday to resolve the months-long stablecoin rewards standoff. The compromise: ban rewards “economically equivalent to interest on a bank deposit” but allow rewards tied to staking, governance, and validation activity. Treasury gets 180 days post-passage to define permissible categories.

Coinbase supports it. Banks? Silent - and silence from the banking lobby usually means opposition is coming. The question is whether regulators can draft rules tight enough to satisfy banks but loose enough to let DeFi staking yield survive.

Senate markup was underway today. If this passes committee, floor vote is the next milestone.

2. Bitcoin Supercycle Thesis Resurfaces

A Bitcoin analyst called $250,000 by 2028 today, citing the breakdown of the four-year halving cycle model. The argument: institutional demand via ETFs and corporate treasuries has structurally changed BTC’s supply-demand dynamics. The old cycle driven by retail FOMO is being replaced by a steady accumulation bid that doesn’t care about quarterly price swings.

Whether that makes a supercycle or just a longer cycle is debatable. What’s not: the narrative is spreading, and 1,400+ posts today alone.

3. Strategy Earnings - BTC Buys Watch

Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) reported earnings today. All eyes on whether Saylor announced additional BTC purchases - the company has been buying on every dip this year. As of last quarter they held 214,400+ BTC at an average cost basis of ~$35K. At $80K spot, that’s a $9.6B unrealized gain.

Any new purchase announcement will move the market. No material announcement yet as of this writing.

4. Trump Meme Coin Bash: Mar-a-Lago Gets Weird

Trump hosted top holders of his TRUMP meme coin at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend. Off-the-cuff remarks for an hour to crypto investors, hedge fund managers, and tech executives. The event is drawing Capitol Hill scrutiny given the Trump family’s crypto portfolio while crypto legislation winds through Congress.

The conflict-of-interest optics are bad. The actual legislative impact is unclear - Republican divisions over the meme coin situation have reportedly stalled some crypto bill momentum.

5. GBrain v0.26.3 - MCP OAuth Panel Ships

Garry Tan shipped per-client access control for GBrain. Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Perplexity all get separate OAuth grants with individual revocation and audit logs. The problem it solves is real: once an MCP client connects, it previously got full memory access - no scoping, no logging, no revocation without a restart.

For teams using multiple agents against a shared memory system, this is the right architecture. GBrain is systematically building the enterprise MCP deployment stack.

6. Graphify - Codebase Knowledge Graph Skill

New AI coding assistant skill that maps any project into a queryable knowledge graph with one command: /graphify .. Outputs an interactive HTML visualization, a GRAPH_REPORT.md with key insights and surprising connections, and a queryable graph.json.

Works in Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Cursor, and others. It follows the same SKILL.md distribution pattern that’s been dominating GitHub trending this week.

The interesting angle: Graphify answers “what does this codebase look like now?” while persistent memory systems answer “what did we decide about it over time?” Complementary tools, not competing ones.

$XRP and David Schwartz trending today in Australia and globally. No confirmed news anchor - likely Ripple’s ongoing SEC case developments or new institutional partnership announcement. Worth watching for follow-through.

8. Reserve Bank of Australia Decision

RBA trending in Australian markets today. Interest rate decision expected - likely a cut given easing inflation data. Any cut would strengthen the case for risk assets including crypto as yield-seekers look elsewhere.

9. Leaf - Terminal Markdown Previewer

Small but useful: leaf - a Rust-based terminal Markdown previewer with GUI-like UX. Key use case: pipe any CLI output directly into a formatted reader. quaid query "what did we decide about X" | leaf makes memory queries actually readable in the terminal. Watch mode, TOC sidebar, syntax highlighting. One curl install.

10. The Week’s Macro Frame

Three things running in parallel this week: US crypto legislation (CLARITY Act) moving toward passage, institutional BTC accumulation (Strategy, BlackRock) continuing steadily, and the AI infrastructure buildout (MCP tooling, agent memory systems) accelerating. These aren’t separate stories - they’re the same story told three ways. Capital is moving toward programmable money and programmable compute simultaneously.

The interesting question for the next 6 months: does regulatory clarity in the US pull global capital into crypto the way ETF approval pulled institutional capital into BTC? The CLARITY Act isn’t an ETF moment, but it might be the precursor to one.
